❓ Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know before you come

Answers to the questions our visitors ask us most often.

Do I need to book in advance?

For boat tours, yes: book online on this page using each tour's calendar. For stand-up paddle, no booking is needed — just come to the dock, subject to board availability.

How early should I arrive before departure?

Please arrive 15 minutes before departure. The Mala excursion leaves at 3:00 PM sharp; the electric boat departs hourly from 10 AM to 5 PM.

Can I cancel or reschedule?

Cancellations and changes require our prior agreement. Please contact us at +33 7 61 83 41 02 or contact@glisse-evasion.com as early as possible. As a leisure activity, the statutory right of withdrawal does not apply under French law.

What happens if the weather is bad?

Safety comes first: if sea conditions do not allow us to sail, we cancel the tour and offer you another date within the season. We call you the day before, or on the day itself if conditions change. If no date suits you, we refund you in full.

Where exactly is the departure point?

The dock is at 6 quai de l'Amiral Courbet, 06230 Villefranche-sur-Mer, for the Mala excursion and stand-up paddle. The electric boat ride departs from Port de la Santé, also in Villefranche-sur-Mer.

Where can I park in Villefranche-sur-Mer?

Parking des Marinières, along the beach, and Parking Wilson, the closest to the dock. Both fill up fast in high season, so allow extra time — or come by train: Villefranche-sur-Mer station is a few minutes' walk away.

What should I bring?

Swimsuit, towel, sunscreen and a hat. A strap for your sunglasses is recommended. For the Mala excursion, bring what you need to swim: the stop lasts 30 minutes. We do not provide towels, masks or drinks.

Do I need to know how to swim?

For boat tours, no: you stay aboard and the swim stop is optional. Life jackets are available on board. For stand-up paddle, you must be able to swim.

What is the minimum age?

Children are welcome from age 3 on boat tours, accompanied by an adult. The rate is the same for all ages.

Can we swim during the tour?

Yes, on the Mala excursion: a 30-minute swim stop is included in the crystal-clear waters off Mala beach. The electric boat ride does not include a stop.

What is the difference between the two tours?

The Mala excursion lasts 1h30, departs at 3:00 PM and cruises to Mala beach with a swim stop, returning past Èze, Beaulieu-sur-Mer and Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat — €50 per person. The electric boat ride lasts 40 minutes, departs hourly and circles the bay from Cap-Ferrat to the Port Royal de la Darse, in complete silence — €20 per person.

How many people per tour?

The Mala excursion takes 6 to 12 guests. The electric boat ride takes 3 to 8 guests; for 2 guests, a €20 surcharge applies.

When are you open?

We are open 7 days a week from 1 May to 30 September, 9:30 AM to 6 PM. Stand-up paddle is available over the same period, 10 AM to 6 PM non-stop.
